DOVE hair fall therapy

Dove Hair Fall Therapy - Works?
Hair is often termed as our crown of glory; and regardless of gender, everyone is anxious when hair fall comes into the picture.

In addressing this issue, most of the consumer products' brands have come up with multiple types of Hair fall prevention shampoo or hair care range.
I think right now, almost every brand has their own hair fall therapy range.
Before we breathe in relief, there is a question "Do they really work?"

Now, I dare not say for others, as some may work for some and it may not for others.
Reason is due to the different factors we all have with regards to the hair loss; and to fully combat the unsightly effects, we definitely have to hit the root cause (which is the key in which most of us are not sure).
Hence, as end users, we continue to be fascinated (and baffled) by the wide range of products which claim to offer the solution to our problem.

Being girls, we are definitely used to a little bit of hair loss here and there; but a little much more is a cause for concern.

Anyway, I have always liked Dove's range of products and find the shampoo and bath equally satisfying for my bath routine.
When Dove came out with their range of Hair Fall Therapy, I decided to give it a try.

For a bottle of 400ml, which is the medium range of the Dove's shampoo, it is priced at RM13.40 (look out when it's on offer, it could be cheaper).
It is hard to miss this bottle; which is slightly arch-shaped at the top and its brownish-orange color with the Dove printed on it.

The scent of the shampoo was the same as the normal Dove shampoo range.
Even the texture of the liquid when you pour it onto your palm is the same in color and weightage as the others.

It is recommended to use along with the Hair Fall Conditioner and the serum.
I am not sure whether it was the missing conditioner which I excluded from the regime or was it my scalp itself, this definitely did not work for me.
In fact, continuous daily use left my hair a little too moisturized and oily on the scalp.
At the same time, I didn't see any decrease in the hair fall as well.

The Dove Hair Fall Repairing serum was another product in the range which is supposed to help prevent hair fall during the brushing or combing action of your hair.

Priced at RM26.90, this small little bottle of serum is not to be belittled.
It was really concentrated and when you pump it out of the bottle onto your hand, you can feel the concentrate and the thick liquid.
One small squeeze should do the trick by the way.

It is always not recommended to brush or comb your hair when it's wet; since it is rather weak and tends to fall of more.
However, this serum can be used whenever you want but I'd say it works best when your hair is dry or frizzy.
You just need to apply this serum onto the mid length of your hair to the end of the hair and then you comb your hair.
You will notice that there will be less hair fall when you comb your hair then.

It really worked for me.
This serum is supposed to act as a medium to prevent against the frizz or static when the comb/brush passes through the hair and hence, prevent the tugging of the hair against the brush which usually leads to hair fall.
I really liked this product and the light familiar Dove scent it had.

My rating:
Shampoo 2.5/5 - did not really work for me as a hair fall shampoo, but was okay as a normal shampoo
Serum 3.5/5 - worked and I love the smooth texture when applied onto the hair
